Twin Cities Housing Development Corporation operates the Liberty Plaza Resource Center for the purpose of supporting low income families as they stabilize in housing and pursue their goals.

These are not crutches, but stilts, hand-made and mastered by kids. Their experience was made possible by your support.

Your contribution gives families at Liberty Plaza a leg up in life.

 

Your donation ignites brighter futures for families striving to move forward. Your donation will:

o   Provide a foundation for supporting the basic needs of families as they strive toward financial independence and self-sufficiency;

o   Support academic success for children served by our year-round afterschool and summer enrichment programs;

o   Provide working parents and caregivers with peace of mind for the whereabouts and safety of their children after school;

o   Open doors for teens and adults to employment, training, and economic advancement opportunities;

 

Support Academic Success for Children and Youth

o   In 2014 the annual cost of providing after school and summer enrichment programming for one child was $815. Support a child for one month of after school program ($81.50).

o   We have expanded family choices in afterschool programming with new programs in reading literacy, homework tutoring, and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) education programs. Your donation makes these new programs possible and sustainable.

 

Support Economic Advancement for Teens and Adults

o   We are helping teens and young adults explore career options, get jobs, and obtain marketable computer skills with our new Community Technology Empowerment Project. Your donation provides teens and young adults with access to 21st century workforce skills.

o   Our ongoing partnership with Goodwill/Easter Seals provides access to employment and training resources for motivated adults who are unemployed or underemployed. Your donation increases the number of adults who can benefits from these services.
